Alterna’TV announced a distribution agreement with New York’s Star Cable

In a move to broaden the distribution of its channel partners to new delivery systems in the US, Alterna’TV announced an innovative distribution agreement with New York’s Star Cable that delivers Alterna’TV’s international channel roster to America’s number one media market, New York City.According to the terms of the new carriage agreement, Alterna’TV’s international channel clients – including Mexico’s general entertainment channels Canal 22 Internacional, Canal ONCE, Telemicro and CBTV Michoacan, the popular children’s network Fix & Foxi, as well as international sports channels PXTV, Latin American Sports (LAS) and AYM Sports – will be offered by Star Cable to its subscribers in Manhattan, Brooklyn and the Bronx in New York.In making the announcement, Sid Sohail, VP at Star Cable, stated, “Alterna’TV offers an impressive and enterprising opportunity for cable service providers in that they have a broad spectrum of entertainment choices, in both English and Spanish, which is very appealing to our ethnically diverse subscriber base”.”One of Alterna’TV’s top priorities is to broaden the reach of our channel partners, both through traditional carriage opportunities and new distribution platforms.
